Factory & quality

Factory and quality: how the equipment is built and tested.

TL;DR

The product is only as good as the process behind it. Our manufacturing partners in Shenzhen, Huizhou, Dongguan, Foshan, and Hubei assemble, test, and pack UPS, stabilizer, battery, and inverter systems for export projects. The process is documented, and the test records follow the order.

This page shows the production and quality steps that matter to a project buyer: incoming inspection, assembly, burn-in, load test, final inspection, and export packing. It is not a marketing tour; it is the list of checks you should ask about in a factory audit.

What are the production and quality steps?

What is tested on a UPS before shipment?

The load test is performed at the rated load or the project load, whichever is specified. The test record includes the input/output voltage, the load current, the battery voltage, and the transfer time. Ask for the record with the shipment.

  • Input/output voltage calibration
  • Transfer to battery and back to mains
  • Rated load and overload trip
  • Battery charge and low-battery alarm
  • Fan and thermal test
  • Communication port and alarm contacts
  • Insulation and earth continuity
  • Visual inspection and label check

What should a factory audit check?

A factory audit should check the incoming inspection records, the work instructions, the test equipment calibration, the burn-in area, the load bank, the packing area, and the traceability of the serial numbers. It should also check the battery storage and the hazardous-goods handling.

Do not rely on a showroom. Ask to see the production line, the test bay, and the records for a recent order. A factory that cannot show a load-test record is not a factory you want for a critical project.

How is the equipment packed for export?

Smaller units are packed in foam-lined cartons. Larger UPS and battery cabinets are packed in wooden cases with desiccant and shock indicators. The packing list states the dimensions, weight, HS code, and marks. For lithium, the UN38.3 and MSDS documents accompany the shipment.

Tell us the destination port, the handling equipment, and the storage conditions. A unit that sits in a humid warehouse for months needs better protection than a unit that goes directly to a clean site.

Which manufacturing partners stand behind the range?

The range is built by specialist manufacturing partners rather than one single plant. The table summarises the scale and quality documents each partner states in its current catalog. It is not a claim that every model is built in every factory; the model and the order determine the production site.

Use the table as a first factory-audit screen. Before a tender, ask for the current ISO certificate with the legal entity and scope, the model test report, and the load-test record for the exact frame. The partner’s customer list or project list is reference material, not a guarantee of the same scope for your order.

Manufacturing partner capabilities (from current partner catalogs)

Partner data is taken from the manufacturers’ current catalogs. Capacity, certificate scope, and warranty terms must be confirmed for the exact model and order before they are used in a tender.

Standards & documents

Which standards and documents are referenced on this page?

The table lists the model-specific standards and conformity documents a project buyer should ask for. Availability depends on the frame, the battery, and the destination market; request the document that names your model.

Standards and documentation references

ReferenceWhat it covers
IEC 62040-1 / -2 / -3UPS safety, EMC and performance basis
IEC 60896-21 / -22VRLA stationary battery type and performance tests
IEC 61558-1Safety of power transformers and supply units
JB/T 10089Contact-type AC voltage stabilizer standard
IEC 62619Safety of lithium cells and batteries for industrial use
UN38.3 / MSDSLithium battery transport test and material safety data

Certificates are issued against the exact model and configuration. See the certifications page for how to confirm scope and revision, or send the model to request the current document.

FAQ

Questions from project buyers.

Project-specific answers. If your question is not here, send the load list and the site conditions.

Talk to an engineer

Can I visit the factory?

Factory visits can be arranged for project orders. Tell us the dates and the sites you want to see; we will confirm the schedule and the documentation available.

Do you provide a load test report?

Yes, for project orders. The report records the input/output voltage, load current, battery voltage, and transfer test. Ask for it in the purchase order.

How long is the burn-in?

The burn-in period depends on the product and the order. It is defined in the work instruction and recorded. For critical projects, a longer burn-in can be agreed.

What is the warranty?

Warranty terms depend on the product and the configuration. They are stated in the quotation and the order confirmation. Batteries have separate terms from the UPS.

Can I use my own brand?

OEM labeling and packaging are available for qualified orders. The MOQ, artwork, and label approval process are confirmed in the quotation.
