The NX modular UPS from 10 to 600 kVA uses X+N hot-swap modules, so redundancy is bought once and expanded module by module. It suits projects that need concurrent maintainability without a second parallel frame.
What this platform is built to do.
The NX series is a modular UPS for data centers and critical rooms that need to add capacity in steps. A single frame can reach 300 kVA; frames can be paralleled to 600 kVA. Power modules are hot-swappable, and the X+N configuration keeps the load online when a module is removed or fails.
The input stage uses IGBT rectification with a power factor above 0.99 and THDi below 3%. The output is regulated to ±1% with a 3:1 crest factor and THDV below 1% on a linear load. The battery bus is ±240 VDC with a configurable 32–40 block string, and the charger is sized at 20% of the system power.
NX is the right choice when the IT load will grow in phases, when N+1 must be maintained without a separate parallel system, or when the room needs a compact footprint. For a fixed small load, a monolithic high-frequency UPS may be more economical.
X+N redundancy
Keep the load online with one or more spare modules.
Hot-swap growth
Add or replace a module without transferring the load.
Parallel frames
Two frames reach 600 kVA for large rooms.
Efficient input
>0.99 input PF and <3% THDi reduce generator and cable burden.

NX modular: project questions.
Project-specific answers. If your question is not here, send the load list and the site conditions.
Talk to an engineer How many modules do I need for X+N?
Add N spare modules to the number required by the load. For a 120 kVA load with 30 kVA modules, four modules carry the load and one or more provide redundancy, depending on the target.
Can I parallel two NX frames?
Yes, two frames can be paralleled to 600 kVA. Confirm the parallel control, shared battery arrangement, and bypass design with the factory.
Does the frame include the battery?
The battery is external. The frame specifies a ±240 VDC bus with 32–40 blocks; the battery cabinet and runtime are project-specific.
Is the NX suitable for a small server room?
It can be, but a 10–20 kVA monolithic online UPS may be more economical for a fixed small load. NX is most valuable when growth and module-level redundancy matter.
What monitoring does it support?
SNMP, dry contacts, and RS-485/RS-232. The exact card set depends on the frame and the monitoring platform.
