Certification is a model-specific statement, not a logo. A CE certificate for one UPS frame does not automatically cover a different frame or a different battery configuration. For a tender, ask for the document that names the model and the standard, and confirm the revision date.

What does ISO 9001 cover?
ISO 9001 certifies the quality management system, not the product. It covers design, production, inspection, and service processes. The certificate names the legal entity and the scope; confirm that the scope includes the product family you are buying.
A quality system certificate is not a substitute for a model test report. Use both: the ISO certificate for the process, the test report for the product.
Which certificate does my market require?
The EU uses the CE marking and the applicable directives. The UK uses UKCA. The US uses UL/ETL for many installations, although a CE report may be accepted in some projects. South Africa uses NRCS; the Philippines uses PS/ICC; Bangladesh uses BSTI/BDCS; Nigeria uses SONCAP; Saudi Arabia uses SASO/SABER.
Do not assume a CE certificate will clear customs in a market with its own conformity scheme. Confirm the destination requirement with the importer before the order.
How do I verify a certificate?

- The standard and the revision are stated
- The issue and expiry dates are visible
- The test laboratory is accredited
- The certificate number can be checked with the issuer
- The scope matches the product and the destination market
Which management-system and product certificates exist?
The partner files include management-system, product, credit and patent documents. They are not interchangeable: ISO 9001 covers the quality system, while a CE or product certificate covers a model. Use the table to ask for the document that matches your requirement.

Talk to an engineer Do all models have CE certification?
No. CE documentation is model-specific. Send the model and the destination country; we will confirm whether a current report is available.
Is ISO 9001 a product certification?
No. ISO 9001 certifies the quality management system, not the product. Ask for the model test report as well.
Do you provide UL certification?
UL/ETL certification depends on the model and the market. Tell us the project requirement; we will confirm what is available or what alternative documentation is accepted.
What is UN38.3?
UN38.3 is the transport test for lithium batteries. It is required for air and sea shipment, along with the MSDS and the packing instruction.
Can I use a CE report for a Nigerian SONCAP application?
SONCAP has its own conformity route. A CE report may support the technical file, but it does not replace the SONCAP certificate. Confirm with the importer and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria.
