An industrial UPS from 10 to 200 kVA with a wide input window, high overload capability and IP21 protection, built for electrical rooms, process lines and plant loads rather than an IT closet. The wide input tolerance is what keeps it on mains where a commercial UPS would cycle on battery.
What this platform is built to do.
Industrial UPS systems are specified for the electrical room, not the IT closet. The load may be a PLC rack, a DCS, a CNC line, a packaging machine, or a water-treatment control panel. The input may come from a weak transformer, a generator, or a feeder shared with welding equipment. The UPS must ride through voltage sags, frequency swings, and high inrush without transferring to bypass.
The industrial frame accepts 165–280 VAC phase-neutral and 285–485 VAC line-line, which covers deep sags and generator overshoot. Output voltage is regulated to ±1% and the inverter supports 150–180% overload for 1 hour down to 30 seconds, depending on the magnitude. The enclosure is IP21 with forced ventilation, and the operating temperature range extends to 55 °C on selected frames.
For motor and compressor loads, size the UPS for starting current and load steps, not just running kW. A 3:1 crest factor covers many electronic loads, but a direct-on-line motor can draw 5–7 times rated current. Share the motor nameplate, starting method, and the largest step change when requesting a configuration.
Wide input tolerance
Rides through deep sags and generator swings without dropping to bypass.
High overload
Handles motor starting and load steps that would trip a commercial UPS.
Industrial protection
IP21 enclosure, forced cooling, and 0–55 °C operating range.
Project engineering
Breaker, cable, battery, and bypass coordination for the electrical room.

Industrial UPS: project questions.
Project-specific answers. If your question is not here, send the load list and the site conditions.
Talk to an engineer Can an industrial UPS start a motor directly?
It can support a motor start within its overload window, but direct-on-line starting can draw 5–7 times rated current. Share the motor nameplate, starting method, and the largest step change; a soft starter or VFD may be the better solution.
Why does the input range matter?
A weak feeder may sag to 165 VAC phase-neutral during a motor start or a generator block load. A wider input range keeps the UPS on mains longer and preserves battery for real outages.
Is IP21 enough for a dusty plant?
IP21 protects against fingers and vertical drips, not fine dust. For dusty or corrosive environments, specify a filtered cabinet, positive pressure, or a higher IP rating with the panel builder.
Can the UPS be installed in a non-air-conditioned room?
Selected frames operate to 55 °C, but battery life falls sharply above 25 °C. Keep the battery in a cooler location or use a temperature-compensated charger and a derated battery bank.
Does the UPS support a maintenance bypass?
Yes, an external maintenance bypass is recommended for industrial installations so the UPS can be serviced without interrupting the load. The bypass must be interlocked with the UPS output.
