A remote power supply from 0.5 to 500 kVA across the YG and YGD families, for outdoor and distributed sites where conditioned power has to be delivered where the load sits rather than back at the plant room.
What this platform is built to do.
The YG and YGD series are remote power supplies for sites where the load is far from the source: remote villages, telecom repeaters, highway lighting, border posts, mining camps, and agricultural pumps. They step the voltage up for transmission and down at the load, reducing cable losses over long distances.
The YG AC series covers 7.5–500 kVA with a 220/380 VAC input and a 660–3300 VAC output (800 VAC standard). The YGD DC series covers 0.5–200 kVA with a 660–3300 VDC input and a 220 VAC output. Both use a ±2% regulation loop, IP54 enclosures, and 50 kA lightning protection.
A complete system can use a head/central unit (10–100 kVA) and one or more remote/downstream units (0.5–12 kVA) over a DC 400–1000 V link. The design is project-specific: share the distance, the load, the cable size, and the ambient conditions for a configuration.

Remote power: project questions.
Project-specific answers. If your question is not here, send the load list and the site conditions.
Talk to an engineer When should I use a remote power supply instead of a long LV cable?
When the distance makes the voltage drop and cable loss unacceptable. A step-up transmission link reduces the current and the cable size. The break-even distance depends on the load and the cable.
What is the difference between YG and YGD?
YG transmits AC and outputs high-voltage AC; YGD transmits DC and outputs 220 VAC at the remote unit. The choice depends on the distance, the load, and the local equipment.
Is the system outdoor-rated?
The enclosures are IP54 with 50 kA lightning protection, suitable for outdoor installation. Confirm the local lightning zone and the earthing design.
Can it supply a three-phase load?
The YG three-phase input models can supply a three-phase output configuration. Share the load phase and the motor starting current for a selection.
How is the cable sized?
The cable is sized from the transmission voltage, the load current, the distance, and the allowable voltage drop. Share the route length and the load for a calculation.
