Data center white space with modular UPS and battery cabinets Reference project

What does a 120 kW data center configuration look like?

A 120 kW white-space hall with 42 racks, dual utility feeds and a 10-minute battery for generator start. The design uses three 50 kW modules in N+1, a maintenance bypass and two battery strings. The room is sized for 20% growth, so the initial 120 kW does not become a rebuild in year three.

Branch server room with racks and a rack-mounted UPS Reference project

What does a 12 kVA branch server room look like?

Eighteen racks, 12 kW of IT load and a 30-minute runtime target. A 20 kVA online UPS leaves room for growth and battery aging; the 192 VDC bank uses 100 Ah blocks. The room has no generator, so the UPS also covers a controlled shutdown when the outage extends beyond 30 minutes.

CNC machining centre on a factory floor Reference project

What does an 80 kW CNC line on a weak feeder look like?

Six CNC machining centres share an 80 kW load on a 380 V feeder that swings from 304 V to 456 V. The line needs 30 minutes of ride-through for the controllers, a 3:1 crest factor and 150% overload for spindle starts. The configuration pairs a 100 kVA industrial UPS with a 200 kVA three-phase AVR.

Security control room with monitors and recording equipment Reference project

What does a 96-camera security system need for 8 hours?

Ninety-six PoE cameras at an average of 8 W draw 768 W; the NVR, switches, access control and alarm panel add about 550 W. The total is 1.32 kW. A 3 kVA online UPS with a 48 V 300 Ah LiFePO4 bank delivers about 8 hours, with enough PoE budget for IR and camera heaters.

Telecom and data center power cabinets Reference project

What does an 8-hour 48 VDC base station look like?

A 60 A radio load at 48 VDC is 2.88 kW; the site’s AC loads add 1 kW. For an 8-hour hold-up, the battery is 48 V 600 Ah VRLA or 400 Ah LiFePO4. A 4 × 50 A rectifier in N+1 leaves one module for service, and the site is wired for a solar input without changing the DC bus.

Hotel lobby with a commercial power installation Reference project

What does a 120-room hotel put on backup?

A 120-room hotel has about 45 kW of critical load: PMS and IT, payment, security, lift controllers, BMS, emergency lighting and the fire system. A 60 kVA UPS covers 30 minutes; a 200 kVA three-phase AVR protects the incoming supply and the chillers. The security room gets its own 4-hour UPS so the cameras keep recording.

How should a coastal site coordinate three SPD stages?

A coastal hotel with a long overhead feed and frequent lightning uses a three-stage SPD scheme: Type 1+2 at the service entrance, Type 2 at the sub-board, and Type 3 at the UPS output. The stages are coordinated by cable length and a backup fuse, and the earth bar is bonded to the building earth.

Partner reference projects

What projects has the manufacturing partner delivered in China?

These projects come from a manufacturing partner’s catalog and cover venues, hospitals and data centers. They are not HENGLAN’s direct international projects; names and images are reference material, and the current list should be confirmed before a tender.

Olympic venue building and UPS cabinets Sports venue / IT

Beijing Olympic venue

Beijing, China

Power protection for the venue IT systems. The partner case note states that the UPS carried the load for up to four hours during a mains failure, keeping the venue systems running through the event.

Reading a reference

Four figures a reference project should be able to answer.

A project card that lists only the sector and the equipment is a brochure, not a reference. The four fields below are what make one verifiable — they are also what an engineer needs in order to judge whether the reference is comparable to your site. Ask any supplier for them, including us.

Field Why it decides comparability Where to find it
Measured load kW, kVA and power factor — a 100 kVA nameplate is not a 100 kVA load Load study or commissioning report
Runtime achieved The minutes the site actually delivered, not the battery datasheet figure Commissioning test sheet
Equipment list Frame, battery string, bypass and monitoring, with model numbers As-built drawings and packing list
Commissioning days How long the site took to hand over, and what had to be corrected Handover protocol and punch list

Site-specific figures are released with the reference, under NDA where the client requires it. The project cards above state what was installed and why; the measured figures come with the record.

Project method

What happens from the load list to the commissioning record?

01

Load review

Running kW, largest motor start, load step and growth margin.

02

Capacity and topology

kW to kVA, single or three-phase, online or industrial, parallel or N+1.

03

Battery and room

Bank sizing from the discharge curve, temperature and charger; floor loading and service clearance.

04

Test and documents

Load test, commissioning checklist, model datasheet and export documents with the shipment.

Standards & documents

Which standards sit behind these reference projects?

The projects use the same model-specific document set as a new order: UPS safety and performance to IEC 62040, stabilizer safety to IEC 61558, battery tests to IEC 60896 or IEC 62619, surge protection to IEC 61643-11, and the destination conformity route for the market. Ask for the document that names the model used in the case.

FAQ

What do buyers ask about the reference projects?

Project-specific answers. If your question is not here, send the load list and the site conditions.

Talk to an engineer

Are these real customer projects?

No. They are typical industry configurations, not named customer projects. Photos are illustrative; a real project is defined by its contract, load list and commissioning record.

Why are there no customer names or locations?

We do not publish customer names or sites without permission. Verifiable load, runtime and configuration data is more useful than an unverifiable logo.

Can I order directly from a reference case?

No. A case is a starting point, not a quotation. Every project re-checks the load list, largest motor start, runtime, input supply, site environment and certification route.

What documents can a real project include?

Model datasheet, dimension drawing, single-line diagram, battery configuration, test records, packing list and certification documents can be included by project. The exact scope is stated in the quotation and order confirmation.

How do I turn a case into my configuration?

Send the load list, runtime, phase, site country and site conditions. The engineering team returns a capacity recommendation, battery configuration and model sheet, then the quotation.

Next step

Send the load list. We will return the configuration.

Tell us the kW, the backup time, the phase, and the site country. You will get a capacity recommendation, a battery configuration, and the model sheet.
