An AD-ARD elevator rescue device from 7.5 to 30 kW that takes over on a power failure, drives the car to the nearest floor and opens the doors. It is sized on the lift motor and the rescue cycle, not on the building load.
What this platform is built to do.
The AD-ARD series is a dedicated elevator backup unit. It supplies the elevator control and rescue circuit when the building supply fails, so the car can move to the nearest floor and open the doors instead of trapping passengers between floors.
Models cover 7.5–30 kW traction machines with 1,000–3,000 VA control capacity, single-phase or three-phase input, and 12 V battery strings. The unit is installed between the building supply and the elevator controller; it is not a general-purpose UPS for the motor.
Selection depends on the elevator controller, the traction machine, the required rescue time, and the local lift code. Share the controller model, the motor power, the input phase, and the required backup time for a configuration.
Rescue operation
Moves the car to the nearest floor and opens the doors on power failure.
Matched to the lift
Models from 7.5 to 30 kW traction machines with single or three-phase input.
Compact battery
12 V blocks in the unit or an external cabinet, depending on the rescue time.
Lift-code support
Configuration is checked against the local lift code and controller requirement.

Elevator UPS: project questions.
Project-specific answers. If your question is not here, send the load list and the site conditions.
Talk to an engineer Does the elevator UPS run the lift continuously?
No. It is a rescue unit: it moves the car to the nearest floor and opens the doors, then stops. Continuous operation would require a much larger battery and inverter.
How long does the rescue take?
The backup is sized for the rescue sequence, not for a long ride. The required time depends on the lift code and the building height; confirm it with the lift contractor.
Can it be installed in the controller cabinet?
Some models are designed for the machine room or controller cabinet. Confirm the dimensions, ventilation, and battery location with the lift installer.
Which input phase do I need?
The AD-ARD range includes single-phase and three-phase input models. Match the input to the building supply and the elevator controller.
Does it work with any elevator brand?
It is a backup unit, not a controller. Compatibility depends on the controller interface and the rescue circuit. Share the controller model and wiring diagram before ordering.
